Make Lakeland a Life-Giving Church!
There are people all around us who need to come into contact with a Life-Giving Church! Let’s be that Church together.
Here is how we can bring the unchurched to Christ Jesus through Lakeland. First, PRAY! Pray for family members, neighbors, coworkers, and friends. Pray for store cashiers, waitresses and waiters, pray for those who work in all of the stores, businesses, and restaurants. Pray for them by name when you know that. Pray for those who are our hospitals and nursing homes. Pray for those who are in prison.
Second, get acquainted! Form relationships with the unchurched people. Invite them into your home. Get to know them over a meal or a dessert. Invite them to join you at sporting or cultural events. Invite them to join you at church. It’s just being friendly to others and getting to know them.
Third, Help the spiritually wounded! People are being hurt each and every day, all around us. It is in the news every day. Hurting people need a place of refuge, a sanctuary, where they know they are safe. Whether or not they realize it, they are seeking to find a community or a family to which they can belong. A group of people where they feel accepted, where they feel loved, where they are respected. They seek a place where they can find a love that can heal broken hearts and souls. People are seeking to discover hope, help, and healing from all of the abuse that this world has heaped upon them. You can help Lakeland bring healing to them by sharing the Good News of Jesus together with us!
People want to know, “Does following Jesus make any difference in your life?” The answer is, “Yes, absolutely!” You can help us bring this amazing grace to them by serving with us together. You can make a difference in this world!
